Autoboot from a secondary disk

For this specify both the disks i.e. rootdisk and mirror at boot-device?
level or through eeprom.
For my case using VxVM it is
# eeprom boot-device? vx-rootdisk vx-rootmirror

Hi Sunmanagers!

I'm running Solaris 8 on a Sun Fire 280-R.
The disks are mirrored using Solaris Disk Suite.
I've created device alias at the Open Boot Prom for the primary and
secondary
boot disk, and also specified boot-device.

How do get the sytem to boot from the second boot-device if the first
boot-device fails.
(I don't have access to the Open Boot Prom if/when boot failure occurs)

Thanks
