Keyboard will not work at CDE login prompt

I am having a really strange problem with getting my keyboard to work at the
CDE login prompt. I am not able to enter in my username and / or password.
I can hit 'stop-a' and boot the system into single user mode and login, use
commands as normal. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this
issue. This occurred after installing the latest bulk-patch release on a
Solaris 8 02/02 (End-User, fresh load of OS) running on an E250 through a
NTI KVM switch. No messages were found in /var/log/syslog or
/var/adm/messages. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I will
summarize.
