rlogin/rsh error
2007-12-25 3:12:00
a perl script to check our network for stale nfs entries and i use rsh to
connect. on some boxes it will (all solaris 8 and 9 on sparc) enter into a
unkillable loop [during the rsh process] of displaying "ioctl TIOCFLUSH:
invalid argument". followed by either a number of whitespace. (with
endline?) all attempts at stoping it are futile execpt for
killing / SIGKILL the rsh process. even entering ctrl-c, ctrl-v, ctrl-z,
and ctrl-\, (well, you get the picture that non OS signals dont effect
this thing).
i have searched on google and only one entry was found, a sunmangers list
entry but with no reply.
I have run into this problem once before but i cant remember what i did to
fix it. any help will be greatly appreciated, and im sure other people
have run into this problem and have been stumped by the google-less
answer..
thanks alot even if you cant give me the whole answer anything is great.
