Ultra5 reboots when closing CD

the drive. The lights on the KB blink. Oddly, it exhibits this behaviour
even if the EIDE cable is NOT connected.
It seems like my CD drive is toast. Will any EIDE CD ROM drive work in its'
place?
Or is there something I can reset?
Might reset-all and probe-ide help at the OK prompt?
And while I am asking dumb questions.... could someone tell me what the red
sliding switch on the power supply is?
