DiskArray and management

Hi all
i'm planning a 2 Netra cluster w/ a shared D1000 (or D2) array, managed
through SNMP.
the question is: is there any "standard" way to check the health/status of
disks in a storage array ? does SUN provide a SNMP Agent for such a device?
