important question

part of a sparc solaris 2.5 data transfer
script is: target=/net/$host/opt/...
for one sparc solaris 2.6 the line above
works and creates /net/host1 but for the
other sparc solaris 2.6 (host2) it can not
create /net/host2, why?.
".rhosts" and "hosts" files look ok.
