thanks to Casper Dik for his ultrafast response. The solution is
to remove the core file(s) that are present in /var/sadm/pkg.

Hi All,
I'm experiencing the problem discussed in the Bug ID 4466292
(showrev -p returning an error message) and I can't patch my box anymore.
The incident was reported on July and as of today no news from Sun. Does
anyone have a 'temporary workaround' so that I can go on and apply at
least the security/recommended patches on my box?
