Jumpstart x86 Solaris 10 systems

2007-12-25 5:33:00

I am jumpstarting x86 systems (V20z) using DHCP and PXE boot and it
works quite well with no intervention. I have modified the image's
bootenv.rc file so I can do it from the serial console with no
problems.

My problem is once the system is installed, the bootenv.rc file has
the input-device and the output device set to screen and keyboard
instead of ttya.

Which part of the process sets the bootenv.rc file on the intalled
system? Should I have a finish script munge the image?

I jumpstarted two V40z before and never ran into this issue. After
the install the system had 'ttya' in bootenv.rc.

Thanks for your help.
