Sendmail problems

fundamental but here goes:
We are running sendmail on Solaris 8.
NIS is configured.
When a message is sent the following errors are seen:
SYSERR:(root):mail loops back to me (MX Problem?)
sendmail [4038] hdkmsmskjakk losing ./ asdfakdjlkjhqlwe sendmail panic
SYSERR:(root):sendmail:cannot save rejected mail anywhere.
Has anyone seen these types of errors and can possibly give me a clus on how
to fix them?
