Panic when booting U1/U2 from Sol9 install CD

2007-12-25 0:55:00

I'd think this would have happened to other people, but searching Sun
Managers, sunsolve, and usenet did not net me a solution.

I've got a U1 and a U2; the U2 is known to install Solaris 2.6 without a
problem; the U1's state may be considered suspect (had to replace PROM on it
some time ago).

Neither of these machines is willing to install Solaris 9. When I boot from
CDROM, I get:
---
{0} ok boot cdrom -install

Any suggestions as to what I could be doing to make this not happen?
