Summary: maximum shmmax value
2007-12-24 18:57:00
There was a summary in Archive about this (Thank goes to Bing Wu for the
link). Sorry to bother everyone before checking the archive. Since there
were no concensus among those who replied, I called SUN support on this.
The answer is 4G (2^32)under solaris 2.6, 32-bit solaris 7, and almost
unlimited under 64 bit solaris. Recommended value is no larger than 75% of
your physical memory
