Clive McAdam says:

etc/default/kbd
Uncomment KEYBOARD_ABORT=disable
Then run "kbd -i"

add the line
John Julian gave me:

KEYBOARD_ABORT=disable
to
/etc/default/kbd

at the command line you can do: kbd -a disable
