Original question:
What is the minimum set of packages needed to install Solstice
DiskSuite 4.2.1 on Solaris 8 (command-line only, no GUI).
Answer:
It was suggested that only the "SUNWmd" package is needed, however
with DiskSuite 4.2.1, the package has been split into multiple
packages, so the SUNWmd package no longer exists. The answer to my
question was to install the packages
- SUNWmdr Solstice DiskSuite Drivers (root)
- SUNWmdu Solstice DiskSuite Commands
- SUNWmdx Solstice DiskSuite Drivers (64-bit)
