boot problem, bootblk: can't find the boot program

2007-12-24 21:44:00

Hi, I just restored my whole file system from backup to a new disk after the
root disk in my sparc 20 failed. The restored OS is Solaris 2.4, I did a
installboot from 2.5 cdrom with this command.
installboot /usr/platform/`uname -i`/lib/fs/ufs/bootblk /dev/rdsk/c0t3d0s0

But I keep getting "bootblk: can't find the boot program" in OBP. Help
please.

p.s. I'm sure I install the boot block on the right disk, and I've put the
disk in the same slot as the failed one.

regards,
Mark
