The Fuser Command

Hi All
I'm having a problem with the normal fuser command on Solaris. On the one
server it works fine.
For example if a file is being written to and we do an fuser command on the file
it will show a process id attached to the file.
But when i try this on the other servers it shows nothing, even though the file
is clearly being written to.
Is there some setting that enables the fuser to pick this up or something else
on our box that is not right?
