Mail Problem
2007-12-24 22:04:00
I know this is a little off topic.... Sorry.
I'm running Netscape Messaging server 3.61 on a Solaris 2.6 server.
Over the weekend the / partition became full and while in that condition
all the control files for incoming messages were written as below.
---Begin File---
Function: Error-Handler
Error: Dispatch:InvalidFunction (QueueFunction)
Error-Text: Invalid Function:
Error-Token: mtapo:1
Error-Local-Text: Invalid Function:
Action: failed
Error-Number: 22
Trace: Dispatch
---End File---
The mailserver won't deliver these messages...
The only way I know to have these messages delivered is to write a
script that sends the header and body back through the mail server with
'sendmail -t < header_bodycombined'. This has some undesired results.
I've started down the road of parsing the header and resending with the
correct info, but that's quite an invovled script that I'd rather not
have to write.
I'm sure somebody has had the same problem... so I'm wondering if there
is a way to make netscape requeue the messages... or has somebody
already written a script to do this and might be willing to share so I
don't have to reinvent the wheel.
Thanks for any help,
Joel
