NIS+ --> /etc/passwd

This mail list sure is great. I leave at 10PM, having just asked

my question, and the next morning when I get in there are 6 answers

waiting for me.

Original question:

I'm looking for a way to programmatically take the information in the

NIS+ passwd.org_dir table and put it *back* in /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow.

Four responders all said basically the same thing:

nisaddent -d passwd >> /etc/passwd

nisaddent -d shadow >> /etc/shadow

I tried it, and, no surprise, it works perfectly.
