Hot swapable H/Ds on A1000 Disk array

We have A1000 Storedge Disk array,Which can accumulate up to 12
H/Ds in it. Currently we have connected 5 * 18GB H/Ds and on which Software
RAID is implemented using SOLSTICE Disk Suite.
Now i want to connect 5 more H/Ds in the same Storedge array but without
shutting down the system. This is connected to the E3500 Server and os is
solaris8.
Does anybody has idea how to install H/Ds without shutting down the
system.
