NCD replacement

Great managers,
We have around 50 workstations in our organization.
There are 1 to 2 NCDs attached to each one of them.
We are thinking to add more NCD's to this setup but the price of NCD's i=
s almost as expensive as a Blade100.
However, use Blade100 to replace these NCDs is not an option for us.
My question is given that we have to maintain this setup, is there anothe=
r type of cheap device that work just as well and reliable as NCDs?
How about a cheap Dell with Win2K professional installed and runs an X se=
rver? I'm really interested in hearing from people using this setup. Is i=
t the solution I'm looking for? What kind of problem you are experiencing=
?
Should I look into Sun Ray? What's your experience? Is it the right thing=
for me?
