Kernel parameters..

For installing sybase or Oracle in Sun we are
modifying the /etc/system file for shared area and
other stuffs. Can anybody help me out as to what the
following parameter really means and how the value has
to be calculated for each parameter.
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=209715200
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmin=1
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=100
set shmsys:shminfo_shmseg=10
set semsys:seminfo_semmni=100
set semsys:seminfo_semmsl=100
set semsys:seminfo_semmns=2510
set semsys:seminfo_semopm=100
set semsys:seminfo_semvmx=32767
