SunPC 4.1 with Solaris 2.5

Hello,

the solution is provided by patch 102924-04, which was mentioned once again

fastest by Casper. I have found the release 3 of this patch on the march

sunsolve and it works also fine. Thanx to fastest sunners

Hello,

is anybody out there who is using the SunPC 4.1 under Solaris 2.5.

After installing the package I tried to start the sunpc_install script.

Result:

>/kernel/unix: not found

Oki, this machine is not patched yet, so I try it again with:

sunpc_install -A /kernel/genunix.

The result:

>The SunPC 4.1 device driver is now being installed...

>drvconfig: System call 'modctl_modconfig' failed: No such device or address

>Warning: Driver (sunpcdrv) configuration failed. System could not install

>driver.

>[storekernname] open /dev/sdos0: No such file or directory

>The SunPC startup program is finished. Type: exit

>Once you have updated your path, Type: sunpc

What's going on there ? Does SunPC 4.1 works together with 2.5 ?

The machine is a sparc 4 with 32 MB RAM and a DX2 Coprocessor installed.
