increasing root disk size

Hi all ,

We want to replace our existing mirrored 18GB root disks with 36 GB disks , where the size of the / , swap & /var partitions have to be doubled . The disks are encapsulated under VXVM .

Does anyone have steps to carry out this procedure ?

Any help wil be appreciated .
