How do I get into my inherited Sun?

I recently bought a 2nd hand SparcStation 5 as a learning tool --
unfortunately, I didn't get any passwords with the machine (it was really
cheap). How -- without having any of the passwords -- can I reset the root
password. I've tried the FAQs suggestions of hitting STOP-A or STOP-D at the
login prompt, but this does nothing.

Any suggestions would be kindly appreciated.
