Hi,,

you need you define your Default Gateway (normally your routerIP) in
/etc/defaultrouter (the file will not exist by default . so you create
new file and enter your router IP only)

then
you need to define your DNS address in

/etc/resolv.conf (this file also won't exist. so create new one and add
your dns IP one by one)

that's it...

Subject: Problem reaching to other networks

I recently installed Solaris 7 on SUN ULTRA5. Installation went smooth. It
bears a public IP and is able to communicate only within its network which
is a /27.Also, i am unable to reach other networks from this machien only.
Can anyone suggest what could be the problem with this? However other
machines in the same network are able to communicate outside.
what are the steps after installation that need to be followed in order to
complete the installation?
Pls help regarding the same..
thanks in advance
Charu
