Password file busy

2007-12-25 9:00:00

I'm really sorry for this delay.

I asked:

> When we try up change a NIS password we get "Password file busy -- try

> again later". Can someone please tell me where is the lock file?

The answer is: /etc/ptmp for /etc/passwd and passwd.ptmp in the same

place where NIS passwd is located.

I was also told that yppasswdd may be slow since it does a make and tried

to call all the slave serveres

Many many thanks to:
