random patch on Netra x1

I am new to the Solaris world, have been working on
Linux for the past three years. I have been given the
responsibility to setup a Netra X1 server which would
act as a DNS Server.
SunOS 5.8 Generic_108528-06 sun4u sparc
SUNW,UltraAX-i2
I need to setup openssh on this server, now I am stuck
in the prngd not seeded part. For this I need to
install the random patch 112438-01.
Please let me know if its safe to install this patch
on this server.
