Patch & pkg problem......

We have a Ultra5, the administrator of that machine erase the /var/sadm/patch
and /var/sadm/pkg where lives all the patches and pakages of Solaris. When he
want to update patches the system respond with 8 in patch status (Attempting to
patch a package that is not installed)
Does anybody how I restore those directories?
