cdrom on solaris7

Thanks all the response! Everyone ask to check if volmgt is running. But

this is not my problem.

After I load solaris7 use the cdrom, boot up the computer, I no longer

see the cdrom, I tried everything. probe-scsi show cdrom is there. When

stop volmgt, manually mount cdrom, said device is not there. I suspect

cdrom is bad at this point (nobody will believe it because I use it load

system 1 sec. ago). Yes, it is cdrom bad. Replace it, works fine.

Anyone has idea what is wrong with that cdrom and how it happens?

Thanks all the response, too many to list individually!
