SRS 3.x Cron operation failed

I am installing SRS netconnect on a couple servers. The Sol2.6 had no
problems, but anything 8+ is giving me cron interaction errors on install...
We are not running cron.allow on any machine so I am not where to look.
Created a group added a user to it same as the 2.6 servers....
