SunRays dying

I've a couple of Rays 100 build in August 2000. Now the fifth Ray died
away. The orange light from the smartcard reader lits, the green light
either but the sreen ist black. Nothing helps to revive the appliance.
The question is: is this a normal behaviour for a Ray 100 from the year
2000. Will they all die away? Is Sun Microsystem aware of this problem
and are they co-operative?
Or do I have simply bad luck?
