CD-Tower problems

2007-12-25 9:48:00

Thanks to everyone who responded. The problem was that my /kernel/drv/sd.conf

only contained entries for LUN 0 for each device. Adding LUNs 1-6 for the CD

Tower target and doing a 'boot -r' added all the devices correctly!

I appreciate the quick replies I got from:

ORIGINAL EMAIL:

Hi All,

I am having trouble getting my machine, a Sparc 20 running Solaris 2.6, to

recognize a CD-Tower. The CD Tower is a Procom Technology box with 7 CD

drives in it. It uses 1 target ID, and 7 LUNs. If I do a 'probe-scsi-all' -

I can see all 7 drives at different addresses, but doing a 'boot -r' does not

set them up as different LUNs, rather it sets up each drive as a different

partition (/dev/dsk/c0t5d0s# instead of /dev/dsk/c0t5d#s0). So, mounting the

top drive (d0s0) works without a hitch, but I cannot get at any of the other

drives.

I'll be happy to post a summary.

Thanks

 - Jay
