Update: T2000 expired

2007-12-25 6:45:00

I've managed to recover bits of the wreckage. It appears that shortly after
the restart after the patch installs the filesystems started to go into
freefall which suggests a problem was introduced with ufs logging, SVM, or
some other related component. There are loads of messages about file
fragments, free inodes and so on on /var. The entire contents of one of the
other mount points has disappeared. All the metadevices are showing as
requiring maintenance which leans me towards SVM being the sick puppy here.

Hi,

I've got a T2000 on eval loan from SUN. Yesterday I applied the latest
Solaris10 Recommend aggregate patch. Install went fine and the machine
restarted with no issues. Sometime last night the thing blew up and totally
hosed all it's filesystems. I've not been able to recover enough so far to
start trying to find out what happened. The machine had two disks mirrored
with SVM and logging was on all filesystems. There are no hardware errors
recorded by the SC and it clears POST fine.

Anyone seen anything similar?

Cheers

Joe
