acceptable amount of errors and collisions?

I'm seeing a number of errors and collisions on this interface (hme1).

bash-2.02# netstat -i

this is 2.6 on an e3500. applications are apache and weblogic. the question is...what is an acceptable amount of errors and collisions? How do I tell where these errors/collisions originate? I suspect the switch port, at this point. Thoughts? thanks -
