setenv and automount?

A few responses have arrived, all saying, "Naaah, can't be, it must be you."

And they are right. It turned out that I have an XVIEW-based application

running and it needs OW3.0 shared libs from (surprise!) the same file system

to which that naughty environment variable was pointing.
