Sun 1000-38 Rack - Getting cable beneath floor without cutting tiles

2007-12-25 6:48:00

All,

I have spent a lot of time speaking with Network equipment suppliers
and Sun on this query as well as on google, with no success so far.

I am implementing a new rack (Sun 1000-38) in our datacentre and I
don't want to cut holes in the floor tiles or route cabling above ground.

I would prefer to take a more aesthetically pleasing and professional
approach to getting the cabling underneath my datacentre flooring.

Please can someone guide me towards a UK supplier of floor tile size
(600mmx600mm) plinths/tiles suitable for use with _the above_ rack?
The plinth/tile would require to conform to all Sun safety/practise guides
for the cabinet and be professionally designed for this purpose.

I would like integrated brushed cable holes and ideally switched (on/off)
air vents, but I could live without the vents.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Barry
