Duplicate IP Address - How to find culprit

2007-12-24 22:06:00

Hi,

I have had problems with my ultra30 (Solaris 2.8) over the last day or so.
It seems that someone is using my IP address on our network. I get the
following in /var/adm/messages repeated many times...

Mar 6 15:19:19 nlsun262 ip: [ID 903730 kern.warning]
WARNING: IP: Hardware address '00:10:a4:10:aa:ad' trying to be our address
172.031.128.121!

Can anybody give me any information on how to track the above hardware
address? Are there any tools on solaris (I can use another server) that may
help me.

Thanks,
Ken
