Solaris 8 02/02 and MentorGraphics

Somewhere between release 10/01 and 02/02, MentorGraphics C2 and D1
broke, at least on SB100 (or maybe M64 machines in general). As we
don't have a support contract with Sun, yet they claim to guarantee
backwards compatibility, is there an official channel @sun I can
contact with details?
