generate password tool

Hello Gurus, I am securing a Solaris Box which will be accessible from
the internet, I want to put a generate passwords not easy accesible for
the users, Is there a tool that works on solaris 8 , I tried npasswd but
it doesnt generate the executable. Any ideas I WILL SUMMARIZE
