top on Solaris

Hi,

I have received lots of responses. Of course the answer is to make setuid

on top.

I am sorry for sending a question like that and taking time. And I had not

changed the mode of kmem. After I have tried I had changed the original

mode.

Thanks to everyone again.

My original question is

Hello,

I had not changed the mode kmem

I have installed top-3_4 package on my Solaris 2.5.1 as root.

I can use with root. But I want that "top" can be used by ordinary

users. When I try to run "top" by a user other than root it gives

top: cannot open /dev/kmem: Permission denied

kvm_open: Permission denied

ls -l /dev/kmem

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 27 May 15 1997 /dev/kmem ->

../devices/pseudo/mm@0:kmem

ls -l /devices/pseudo/mm@0:kmem

crw-r----- 1 root sys 13, 1 May 4 1996 mm@0:kmem

I have searched the summaries but I could not find the solution.

I have changed the mode of kmem to 644 but it gives the same message.

Is there any possibilty to make available this command to all users?

Thanks in advance. I will summarize.
