Upgrade

I've just been handed a 4500 and 3000 with a total of 9 arrays (D1000
and A3000) with the following:
Veritas 2.5
RM6 06.22
Solstice Disksuite 4.2
Solaris 6
Of course I need to upgrade to 8. What's the best route ? Do I really
need Solstice and Veritas ?
