installing DiskSuite on an already running system

I have a system running that I'm tasked with installing DiskSuite and
mirroring a drive that already has data on it (/data). 1) Is this
possible without destroying the data on the filesystem, and 2) if so
then how? Is it just a metainit command on that filesystem to
encapsulate it or something?
