Solaris 8 Intel version NIC cards

I'm trying to build a home (Intel) Solaris 8 system and have run into a NIC card compatibility problem. It's a brand new "build-your-own" system purchased commercially. Problem is the on-board built-in NIC card is apparently not compatible with Solaris 8. I am having a bit of trouble finding an acceptable network card that is 100% supported by the Sun Solaris 8 for Intel systems.
QUESTION:
The only one I have found at a "decent" price is the SMC EtherPower II 10/100 (SMC9432BTX) PCI card which apparently runs around $70 (which is quite a bit more than most NIC cards worth usually found in the $15-25 range. Does anyone else know of a "reasonably priced" NIC card 100% compatible with Solaris 8?
I will summarize. Have a Great Day!
