 Original Question

==========================================

Could someone point me to documentation on how to set up the network time daemon and services "xntpd" in a NIS+ environment.

The solutions:

==========================================

Check out http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~ntp or ftp://ftp.eecis.udel.edu/pub/ntp.

Thats the canonical distribution for xntpd (latest version is 3.5b, I

believe.)

Can't help you with the NIS+ part, but I'm building 3.5b right now and it

doesn't seem to have anything to do with my NIS installation, so I doubt

it'll interact with your NIS+ at all.

xntp 3.4x ftp://louie.udel.edu/pub/ntp/

The answer may be in the documentation above.

We use it in an NIS environment.
