Solaris 9 upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit kernel

I just discovered that Sun installation cd installed the 32 bit Kernel
on our E6500 (beacause the flash proms were out of rev?). We have
downloaded the required patches. Does anyone know how to upgrade to a
64 bit kernel without having to do a complete install.
