David,

Odds are you added a package recently that installed a "XKeysymDB" file
that will be found earlier in your path search, probably in /usr/lib/X11,
than
your netscape XKeysymDB file. Renaming the offending file will probably
solve
this and not affect anything adversely.

I changed the name of the file /usr/lib/X11/XKeysymDB as he suggested, and I
no longer have the problem.

The machine in question is a Sun E220R, Solaris 7 (11/99), extensively
patched.

I recently upgraded the version of Netscape from 4.3 to 4.76. When I execute
Netscape, I get the following warning messages:

Netscape then (seems to) run perfectly.

However, when I try to paste some text into an html page, it will not
paste; there is no error message. As a test, I can paste data into the same
page from my PC, running Netscape. I have to send the web page from the Sun
Box in question.

I suspect that the warning messages (especially the SunPaste) have
something to do with it, but I'm not sure what.

Ant leads would be appreciated.
