Interfacing admintool from a remote host

sorry if this is a stupid question. I am rather new to Sun and X11
(coming from OPENSTEP and Cocoa). I need to configure a modem connected
to the second serial port of a Netra X1 and was recommended to use
admintool for setting the baudrate,... However, the Netra has no monitor.
How can I start admintool on the Netra and get the user interface opened
on a remote machine with a monitor attached? Has anybody experiences
with modems attached to the Netra? I just soldered a null modem cable
tsince the adaptor coming with the Netra seems to already be crossed for
direct connection to a PC,... so that one needs a further crossed cable
to get an uncrossed one. Is this correct?
