pc-ultra (scsi talk) woe question

HI,
1)I have a pc with scsi card.
2)I have an ultra1/sol2.6 with scsi card.
3)I connect the two and they talk.
4)I connect a second sun scsi disk in between the two
then they stop talking, why?.
