Adding Radius Extensions to Netscape Server on Solaris 8

2007-12-24 19:36:00

Hi,

I am trying to configure the Radius Extensions which come
with Solaris 8 on to a installation of Netscape Directory
Server, which someone else installed previously. This
person has now left us and I'm having problems with
setup_rad.

I've entered what I believe to be the correct responses
as far as the question:

What is the administration domain that is managed by the server?
eg. airius.com

I've entered what I believe to be the correct response i.e.
bton.ac.uk.

I then get:

Updating the server. Please wait...
ERROR: (code 155) createSIE failed for ssDN= bton.ac.uk machinename=
leda.admin.bton.ac.uk sroot=/usr/netscape/server4
fqdn=leda.admin.bton.ac.uk

Here is the sieEntry:
objectclass: netscapeServer,sunRADIUSServer,nsResourceRef
nsServerID: radius-leda
userPassword:
serverHostName: leda.admin.bton.ac.uk
serverRoot: /usr/netscape/server4
serverProductName: RADIUS Server (leda)
serverVersionNumber: 4.1
installationTimeStamp: 20010322114342Z
Here is the appEntry:
objectclass: nsApplication
cn: Sun RADIUS Server
nsProductname: Sun RADIUS Server
nsProductversion: 4.1
nsNickName: radius
nsVendor: Sun Microsystems
nsInstalledLocation: /usr/netscape/server4
installationTimeStamp: 20010322114342Z

ERROR: (code 155) Failed to register RADIUS server as a Netscape server
Did not add the RADIUS Server information to Configuration Server.

Do you want to update the User Directory Server
with the RADIUS schema?
[ Yes ]

Can anyone explain what might be going wrong here?
I'd be very grateful indeed.

Cheers

Ray
