dtmail problem on Sol 8 04/01 with Gnome 1.4

Has anybody ran into the problem with dtmail bombed
out
with the error message: Bad address ? (after working
for a few minutes).
Configuration: Solaris 8 04/01 with Gnome 1.4
(this is the Gnome package from www.sun.com/gnome/
kernel patch 108528-08 and dtmail patch 109613-02
I did not run into this problem when I ran the CDE.
This error only popped up after I switched to Gnome
1.4
The problem still shows up even after I removed
my own .mailrc config file. I already checked Sunsolve
but could not find anything.
There is no local .alias or mail alias in /etc/aliases
I am running desktop sendmail v.8.10.2+
My dtmail version is:
$ mcs -p /usr/dt/bin/dtmail
/usr/dt/bin/dtmail:
"@(#)CDEVersion1.4.2":sparc:13Oct00-07:20:04
btw, has anybody tried Sol 8 07/01 with Gnome 1.4?
