dtmail problem on Solaris 8 04/01 with Gnome 1.4
2007-12-24 20:32:00
Has anybody ran into the problem with dtmail keep
crashing with the error message: Bad address
Config: Solaris 8 04/01 with Gnome 1.4 (this is the
Gnome package I download from www.sun.com/gnome/
I have Kernel patch 108528-09; dtmail patch 109613-02
This problem still pops up after I removed my .mailrc
file. I checked Sunsolve but found nothing related
to this particular config with Gnome 1.4
There is no local .alias or mail alias set up in my
/etc/mail/aliases. This is extremely annoying since
I like Gnome. It's just the dtmail part that I did
not like.
When I switch back to CDE, the problem disappears
I am running sendmail client v 8.10.2+
My dtmail version is:
$mcs -p /usr/dt/bin/dtmail
/usr/dt/bin/dtmail:
"@(#)CDEVersion1.4.2":sparc:13Oct00-07:20:04
btw, has anybody tried Solaris 8 release 07/01 with
Gnome 1.4? Also has anybody run into a Netscape bug
on 4.78 where there is no scrolling arrow on the right
hand side of the Netscape window? (Win98 SE does not
have this problem on my PC at home)
Thanks
Tony
